The crew plays an important role in turning your good sailing vacation into an extraordinary, special and memorable vacation. A fully chartered cruise ship means that if you are unsure about your ability to navigate your own yacht or you don't have a maritime certificate, you don't need to worry, because the captain is there to help you throughout the time.
Depending on the size of the cruise ship that you plan to rent for your next sailing vacation and your specific needs while on board, the number of crew members can vary according to your needs. Most cruise ships offer captains and chefs, who can also function as hosts or first officers. For larger ships there might be a third person in the crew to help the captain. Small to medium sized vessels can carry 2 to 6 people. Some cruise ships can accommodate as many as 8 guests but no more than that.
Every crew member is trained and knowledgeable and fully trained in the tasks they have to do on board.
Captain
The entire responsibility of taking you to your destination is on the shoulders of the captain and other chartered yacht staff. Even though the charter captain is doing all the work to get you to your destination, if you want to take the helmet in your hand, the captain will stay with you to guide you along the way.
The chef
A great charter experience is incomplete without the presence of a great chef on a plane who will fulfill your requests for your food and between snacks. The chef can also function as a host and can sometimes be responsible for cleaning decks and cabins and will do everything to make your sailing vacation as comfortable as possible.
